Queen Cages

No more stapling screens and juggling corks! Each cage is scented with a pheromone to increase acceptance. Your queen will appreciate the ample size communication holes and a generous hiding area to keep hostile bees at bay. Its thinner design fits better in between frames and is lighter than wood cages, reducing shipping costs! The candy tube has an hour glass shape to hold the candy in place. A candy cap is available separately to keep the queen from emerging. Along with the candy cap you get a hanging strip which will hold your cage in place between frames. Fits perfectly into shipping bars or battery boxes (page 57).

California Mini Queen Cages

Years of experience, considerable thought, and careful craftsmanship by one of the country's leading queen producers has brought the California Mini Queen Cage to queen breeders big and small. Its size makes this queen cage easy to insert between the frames without damaging the comb or disturbing the hive. The fine screen keeps the queen protected and it is pushed flat to the cage during manufacturing to reduce the chance of injury to the beekeeper handling them. The large release hole can be fitted with the cork (included with the cage) or the filled candy tube (sold separately).
Keep candy tubes refrigerated until ready to use.
