Foulbrood Control

Tylan® Soluble

For use on TerramycinTM resistant foulbrood. Mix 200 mg tylosin in 20 g of confectioners/powdered sugar. Use immediately. Honey Bee colonies should receive three treatments administered as a dust in confectioners/powdered sugar. The 200 mg dose is applied (dusted) over the top bars of the brood chamber once weekly for 3 weeks.

Terramycin™ 100MR
This is a highly concentrated Terramycin™ product that uses dextrose as a carrier. Used for the treatment and prevention of American and European Foulbrood. When mixed with sugar, one 50 lb. bag of TM100MR will treat 8,000 colonies with 3 - 1 oz. dustings of mixture in the spring or 5,333 colonies with 3 - 1.5 oz. dustings of mixture in the fall. Mix 1 lb. TM100MR to 29 lbs. of sugar. .

Terramycin™ 6.4 oz. Packets
Terramycin™ is fed to control European and American Foulbrood. Treatments should be administrated in early spring and in fall when the honey supers are pulled. Mix one 6.4 oz. package with 2 lbs. of finely granulated sugar (see below). A treatment consists of a sequence of 3 dustings at 4-5 day intervals of 2 tablespoons per hive. One packet mixed with sugar will treat approximately 20 hives once. Discontinue use 30 days before honey flow.

This is another one of those products you asked for! Mann Lake now features the finest granulated Beekeeper’s Sugar commonly known as "powdered sugar" (never to be confused with confectioner’s sugar, i.e. powdered sugar donut, which can harm your bees) in beekeeping circles. This sugar can be used for dry feeding, to make Bee-Pro® patties, mix with TerramycinTM or any other application calling for powdered sugar.
