Designed for demanding beekeeping operations, Mann Lake’s Wax Dipped MDO Migratory Covers with End Cleats combine rugged exterior-grade construction with long-lasting weather protection. These covers are built from premium Medium Density Overlay (MDO) panels featuring a thermosetting resin-impregnated fiber surface bonded under heat and pressure to create a strong, warp-resistant top that stands up to the elements.
Our MDO is a two-surface bonded product with no release additives, making it paint-grade and ideal for beekeepers who want a smooth, durable finish. Each cover is wax dipped using Mann Lake’s proprietary blend of paraffin and microcrystalline wax, sealing the wood for superior protection against rain, snow, and moisture—no paint or chemical treatments required. Woodenware is boiled at 240°F (115°C) for deep wax penetration and long-term durability.
Heavy-duty end cleats add strength and stability for stacking and transport in migratory operations.
Available in both 8 Frame and 10 Frame sizes. Proudly made in the USA.
