Hive Hugger® Top Bar Hive Kit: Includes Crown + Wrap

The Top Bar Hive Hugger Set combines The Crown and Wrap to create a condensing hive designed for improved winter protection. Custom-fit for compatible Top Bar Hives, the system provides insulation above, around and beneath the colony.

Compatibility

What’s Included

• Top protection: 1 Crown Panel
• Side protection: 2 foam boards on each side
• Bottom protection: 2 foam boards to cover the bottom of the hive
• End protection: 2 foam boards placed within the hive adjacent to the follower boards
• 6 fender washers and screws for affixing the foam boards to the sides of the hive
• Two small rolls of Tyvek to tape around the seams by the frames

How To Use

Install the Crown Panel for top protection and position the foam boards for side, bottom and end protection. A section of the side board will need to be cut to accommodate the bee entrance. Affix the side foam boards with the included fender washers and screws and use the Tyvek to tape around the seams by the frames.
