The best small to medium size capacity range feeder ever made. Lid & rain shield are made of durable plastic molded into one piece. This unit goes down over the feeder body to the correct height from the pan to make an excellent rain and sun shield. The whole top unit is removed for easy filling. Has feed saving grill. The pan depth is 4 3/4"and the diameter is 22". The overall height of the feeder is 24". The cover diameter is 24".

    The Best Feeder

    I use this feeder as a range feeder with my 140 laying hens. I was a little skeptical on how weather proof it would be, well we are in our 4th day of rain and have not lost any feed due to moisture yet. We have had some fairly high winds and the top has yet to be blown off. Also, there is 0 waste from the chickens knocking feed out on the ground. I plan to purchase another soon to replace some feeders I have that allow to much waste with feed on the ground.
