General Employment - Hackensack, MN Location

We are seeking motivated individuals to join the Mann Lake team. Immediate full-time, permanent positions are available in all of our departments, we are especially looking for forklift operators and folks to work with our LTL and FTL shipments, small parcel shipping pickers and packers, production assembly and packaging personnel, as well as people for wood products assembly, bee feed manufacturing, machine operators to produce wood components, product graders, and general labor. Something for everyone!

There are many shifts available:

  • Weekend Days: 36 paid hours +Four: Friday, Saturday, Sunday: 6am – 6pm
  • Weekend Nights: 36 paid hours +Four: Friday, Saturday, Sunday: 6pm – 6am
  • Week Days: Monday – Thursday: 6am – 4:30pm
  • Monday – Thursday: 5am – 3:30pm
  • Monday – Friday: 8am – 4:30pm
  • Week Nights: Monday – Thursday: 5pm – 3:30am

Material Handler & Order Filler - Warehouse – Hackensack, Minnesota Location

POSITION DESCRIPTION

This position is responsible for operating a forklift, in a safe manner, while transporting finished goods and raw materials.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Filling pick locations in the shipping department.
  • Preparing pick-up orders and outbound truck orders.
  • Supplying work stations with raw materials.
  • Shrink wrapping finished goods and transporting to storage or appropriate location.
  • Maintaining an organized warehouse.
  • Loading and unloading product from incoming and outgoing freight.
  • Maintaining a record of finished goods.
  • Keeping forklifts in good operating condition and scheduling maintenance when required.
  • Operating forklift in a safe, effective manner.
  • Provide required paperwork to the Purchasing department.
  • Emptying garbage dumpsters.
  • Ability to work regularly and dependably.
  • Ability to collaborate and function in a team environment.
  • Demonstrate ability to cope with stress and maintain a pleasant and cooperative temperament with internal and external customers.
  • Demonstrate ability to perform mental tasks such as making decisions, learning, thinking rationally and exercising good judgment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse setting is a plus.
  • Mann Lake product knowledge, as well as the woodenware product line is a plus.
  • Basic math skills.
    ▪ Must have good safety habits and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be efficient at operating both a stand-up and automatic forklift.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • This position is in the warehouse and wood plant, with varying temperatures depending on the season.
  • Mobility within the facility, including but not limited to, sitting, standing, walking and lifting for long periods of time.
  • Ability to operate a forklift, including a stand-up.
  • This position may require lifting up to 100 lbs. and up to 50 lbs. repeatedly.

Millwright/Mechanic – Traveling Maintenance Team - Hackensack, MN Location

POSITION DESCRIPTION

This position will require travel within the contiguous U.S. and will be a part of a dynamic maintenance team responsible for carrying forward company expansion initiatives, as well as equipment repair, refurbishment, replacement and installation activities. Full-time hourly position. Schedule dependent on the project and location.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Follow instructions and read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
  • Move machinery and equipment using all forms necessary to safely accomplish the task.
  • Assemble dismantle and install equipment, i.e. shafting, plumbing, conveyors, trams, rails, etc., using hand and power tools. Repair and lubricate machinery and equipment.
  • Align machinery using lasers, jacks, hoist, hand tools, squares, rulers, micrometers and plumb bobs.
  • Assemble, connect and attach equipment using bolts, welds, rivets or other means to fasten system components.
  • Safely rig equipment for pick and place, and direct operator when necessary.
  • May operate lathe or milling machine to grind, file, and turn machine parts to dimensional specifications.
  • Travel required; 20% plus.
  • Ability to work regularly and dependably.
  • Ability to collaborate and function in a team environment.
  • Demonstrate ability to cope with stress and maintain a pleasant and cooperative temperament with internal and external customers.
  • Demonstrate ability to perform mental tasks such as making decisions, learning, thinking rationally and exercising good judgment.
  • Other duties as assigned, including but not limited to; General and/or Skilled Laborer and Carpenter.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

  • High school diploma or GED, required.
  • 2-years of experience as a Journeyman Millwright, Millwright certification, or Machinist strongly desired.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license. CDL is a plus.
  • A high level of mechanical aptitude and knowledge is required.
  • Welding and fabrications skills a plus.
  • Ability to consistently meet deadlines, as well as plan work and solve problems.
  • Ability to work at heights without fear.
  • Must be highly self-motivated with good safety habits.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to effectively communicate with others both written and orally, including the telephone.
  • Mobility within the work facility.
  • Position may require lifting and carrying objects weighing up to 100 lbs.
  • Use of hands and fingers fully; reach for, manipulate, and feel objects; stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl; stoop, lay, bend or squat for long periods of time. Physical working environment may include interior/exterior where the environment matches the outdoor environment.
