Feeding In Dry Form:

Feed dry if the weather is warm enough for the bees to fly. Place Ultra Bee in a box or shallow super with a bottom. A few pieces of wood or other objects should be placed on top of the Ultra Bee to provide a place for bees to groom. The box should be placed in an open drum or pail tipped on its side to protect Ultra Bee from the wind, rain and dew. Feed approximately 1.5 pounds (680 g) per colony. Feeding in Patty Form:

Makes approximately 50 pounds (22.7 kg) of patty material. Combine 12 pounds (5.4 kg) of granulated sugar with 20 pounds or 1.73 gallons (9.1 kg or 6.5 L) of HFCS, Medium Invert or Pro-Sweet Syrup Blend. (Do not use O Sucrose or the patties will become hard.) Mix well. Slowly add 15 pounds (6.8 kg) of dry Ultra Bee. Using wet hands, press 1 to 3 pounds (454 g - 1.4 kg) of mixture onto a 10” x 10” (25.4 cm x 25.4 cm) sheet of wax paper. Place another sheet of wax paper on top of the patty and cut 4 or 5 slits in the paper to increase access to the patty. Place the patty on the top bars of the hive with the slits facing down.
