Description

Promote strong and healthy hives with the Pro Health™ bee feeding supplement with essential oils. This feeding stimulant, composed of powerful lemongrass and spearmint essential oils concentrate, promotes strong and healthy hives as a feeding supplement during late winter, early spring, and during dearths of nectar.

Benefits of Pro Health™ Bee Supplements

Pro Health™ is an essential oil concentrate with many health benefits for your bees:

  • This feeding supplement is antibacterial, antifungal, and antimicrobial, which aid in the overall well-being of colonies
  • Helps build up packages, nucs, and swarms when added to your feeding mix
  • Encourages bees to draw out new foundation faster when used as a spray
  • Has a natural calming effect when sprayed on bees
  • Prevents syrup fermentation

Using Pro Health™ as a Feed Additive

Pro Health™ is an effective feed additive to be added to bee feed for colonies in controlled hives. The benefits of Pro Health™ essential oils-based feeding supplement can promote vitality in smaller hives. They can be an excellent support for amateur beekeepers who need assistance with their bees’ health when nectar is low.

Many beekeepers appreciate having options for hive care, and the Pro Health™ feeding supplement has several size variations to cater to different needs for overall health. Pro Health™ comes in the following size variations:

  • 1 pint
  • 1-gallon
  • 5-gallon
  • 55-gallon

Remember to shake the feeding supplement before each use to ensure an even distribution of its essential oil-based ingredients. Made in the USA.

FEEDING SUPPLEMENT

Syrup mixed with Pro Health stimulates bees to consume more heavily during early spring, late autumn and other times when natural nectar is not sufficiently available. Pro Health also prevents fermentation of sugar syrup. Healthy, well-fed bee packages, nucs and swarms are more quickly able to build the comb they need to establish the hive.

SPRAY DRENCH

New foundation may be sprayed with Pro Health mixed with syrup to stimulate bees to draw out foundation faster. Some beekeepers lightly spray bees rather than using a smoker to calm their bees. For extra health benefits and for times when bees are reluctant to feed, bees can be drenched with up to 1 cup (237 ml) Pro Health mixed with syrup, causing the bees to ingest higher quantities of the essential oils as they lick themselves and the hive clean.

I love this stuff. I add it to my liquid feed and the bees love it. Makes the feed smell so good and also keeps the liquid from fermenting if it's gonna sit in your containers for longer than a few weeks. In the spring it helps the bees get a jump on building comb. In the fall the bees pack it away to build their stores for our long winters in Northern Utah.

My bees seem to love it. I mix in 3 teaspoons per gallon into my sugar syrup and use a division feeder to feed. I am hesitant to use more than 3 teaspoons because of the lemon grass which might cause robbing, even with the entrance reducer that I use during winter.
