Description

Our wax is 100 percent pure beeswax, molded to fit perfectly into each individual frame. This foundation has 10 vertically embedded brass wires that add strength to the foundation while the bees are drawing the wax. Beekeepers may want to add horizontal support for the larger frames by using support pins or cross-wiring. Wires are left long on one edge and bent at a 90 degree angle. The bent wires are placed behind the wedge in the top bar of the frame at installation.

These are quality sheets of foundation.

by Robert Candido on Apr 06, 2022

These sheets are manufactured very well. I have bought other similar products from other sources that had a short length of wire protruding beyond the bottom of the sheet that make inserting them into the bottom bar slot difficult because the wire snags as it is inserted. These do not do that.

    Deep wired wax foundation

by JohnH on Mar 29, 2022

Very pleased with foundation. Wires had enough bend on top to fit bar wedge. Wax seemed heavier than before and made handling easy. Fit Mann Lake deep frames very tight.

Wax is good. Sometimes the wires aren’t bent enough.
