Telescoping Cover is heavy-duty aluminum that telescopes over the top of the hive to keep out the elements. The notched inner cover is built to last for years of use in the hive! Place our Inner Cover underneath the Telescoping Cover. Masonite-free and fully assembled. Assembled Bottom board provides the entrance to your hive and gives the bees proper space to work. Our Bottom Board is constructed with 3/4" plywood stapled and glued and made to last.

    I think the plywood under the aluminum is way too thin. Or at least have an insulating barrier. Too hot in summer and to cold in winter. Needs to do more than just keep out the water . Thx
